Next Monday is President’s Day and if you’re thinking about adding a few fun crafts into your lesson plans, we found several that looked like fun! The first project we found at All Kids Network and would go perfect with a mini lesson on George Washington.

Supplies You’ll Need

• Drawing paper
• Brown and green craft paint
• Paper towel
• Red pony beads or tempera paint
• White school glue

You’ve surely heard the story about George Washington and the cherry tree. We think it’s a great reminder to children that honesty is important. This fabulous craft is inspired by the famous story. We love the various elements – the finger painted tree trunk, the paper towel painted leaves, and the three-dimensional cherries! They create such a fun result and the craft offers a great story reminder for your students to take home.
